LAND O' LAKES - The president of Case & Sons Cutlery Co., one of the world's most famous knife makers, and a local Eagle Scout will be among the luminaries at an annual knife event Saturday at Harvey's Hardware.

Emma Lou Harvey, who operates the store with her son, Paul Harvey, said Case President Tom Arrowsmith will greet knife collectors and Jeremy Baker, an Eagle Scout and student at Wesley Chapel High School, will give a demonstration about knife safety.

"Most of the large (knife) dealers have a knife event every year," EmmaLou Harvey said. "We have people who come from out of state, plus we have a lot of customers from South Tampa."

The event is 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the hardware store at 5400 Land O' Lakes Blvd. The store has been in business since 1961.

Last year's event was attended by representatives with Case & Sons, as well as members of the National Knife Collectors Association. Paul Harvey is now considered a "master dealer" of Case knives.

In 2007, the special guest was renowned knife maker Tony Bose. The previous year, Harvey's was the final stop on the 2006 Case Historian Tour.

In 2005, the store hosted the Case Custom Chopper Tour, which included the giveaway of a motorcycle built by Orange County Choppers, run by Paul Teutul Sr. and his sons, stars of the reality cable television show "American Chopper."
